Saba Universe | Mic Drop Comedy Club

Get ready for a night full of laughs at the Saba Mic Drop Comedy Club! This is an in-person event where top-notch comedians bring their best jokes straight to yI tell stories. People laugh. That's the job.

I'm Saba Baller. I'm 19. I have cerebral palsy. I've done 50 stand up shows in 18 months. My home room is Mic Drop Comedy in San Diego. I'm moving to New York in Oct 2026.

I didn't grow up planning to do stand up. I grew up being the kid people watched walk into a room, and I figured out pretty early that the only way to control the air in that room was to be funnier than the silence. So I got funny.

In early 2025 I went to an open mic at Mic Drop Comedy and did five minutes about my physical therapist, who I'm convinced is a CIA asset. People laughed. I went back the next week. Eighteen months later I've done 50 shows in San Diego, opened for touring acts, and built a calendar that's busier than a lot of comics with twice my age and four times my facial hair.

I write every day. I run sets at any open mic that will have me. I take notes after every show. The reason I have 50 shows is because I asked for 50 shows.

I do storytelling comedy. The bits are observational and biographical, structured like a friend telling you what happened to them last week, with the timing tightened until every line earns its place. I work clean when the room calls for it. I work filthy when the room wants me to. The disability shows up in the act, but it isn't the act.

July 2026 I'm taking a one way flight to New York. The plan is to do open mics every night, work my way onto a few rooms, and figure out what the city tells me. I'll keep coming back to San Diego because Mic Drop is family and my mom would actually hire someone to drag me back if I forgot her birthday.
