What is Ready to Work?

Ready to Work is an educational and job placement program to help thousands of San Antonians' improve their quality of life.

Enroll now and lasts through December 2025. Enrolled participants may continue their training and receive support through May 2028.

Who is eligible for Ready to Work?

• 18 years old when applying for the program – DL/ID or Birth Certificate

• Permitted to work in the United States – DL/ID and Social Security Card

• Resident of the City of San Antonio – DL/ID, Current Lease, Mortgage Statement or Utility Bill

• Income less than 250% of ($33,975 for an individual, or $69,375 for a household of four) 30 days: Check Stubs, Wage/Income Statements or Public Assistance Benefit Letter

• Not currently enrolled in college courses at intake – Sign Declaration not enrolled/attending college

• Willing to take assessments relating to barriers, academics, skills aptitude, and workplace readiness

• Committed to completing the program – Sign Program Overview and Participant Consent Form
