About this Event
SA PROGRESSIVE BUSINESS FORUM: HOUSING AND SMALL BUSINESS
SA Progressive Business is pleased to present a Q&A Forum on the Housing and Small Business landscape in South Australia with:
- Hon Andrea Michaels MP, Minister for Small and Family Business, Minister for Consumer and Business Affairs, Minister for Arts
- Hon. Nick Champion MP, Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Minister for Housing Infrastructure, Minister for Planning
Small and family businesses are the foundation of South Australia’s economy, and their role in the housing sector is crucial. Across planning, design, construction and supply, these enterprises drive local employment, innovation and growth. Builders, trades and suppliers deliver the homes and infrastructure that keep our communities thriving, yet they face mounting pressures from rising costs, workforce shortages and complex regulations. This session will examine how government and industry can collaborate to strengthen small business capability, improve efficiency, stimulate innovation and accelerate housing delivery across the state.
Guests will have the opportunity to engage directly with both Ministers to share insights, discuss challenges and help shape practical solutions for South Australia’s housing and small and family business futures. SA Progressive Business Forums are designed to facilitate dialogue between the business community and the SA Labor Malinauskas Cabinet, ensuring that feedback contributes to stronger, more effective policy outcomes.
