Tuesday, May 7, 2024, 6:30–8:00 p.m. | Two Rivers Bookstore
Jessie Glenn, Director of Mindbuck Media Book Publicity, and Deborah Jayne, specialist in events, awards, and publishing, will give a 90-minute conversational-style presentation aimed at emerging and aspiring indie authors.
Jessie Glenn will discuss an overview of the objectives and specifics of author social media, the concept and point of “Literary Citizenship,” the idea behind "Believe in your publishing team," the
steps between finishing a manuscript and indie publishing, timelines, and the value of publishing short pieces.
Deborah Jayne will discuss how authors can grow community through self-promotion, literary accolades, and connections within the literary community. She will also discuss roles and relationships within the publishing process as well as timelines.
