"Rört Special #byMembers" are classes where Rört Members get a chance to practice their craft as teachers and spaceholders and share their practice.Each #byMembers event will be a new member and a new practice. EMBODIED FEMALE POWER - with Amalie Himmelstrup
Join me for a powerful class, where we will explore female strength, vitality, play and healthy aggression. Through various practices we will let the body speak and allow freedom to express ourselves. We will cultivate courage to be seen and heard, and we will support each other in meeting the parts of ourselves we maybe tend to hide.
We will draw upon elements from karate and martial arts; alternating between punching, kicking, yelling, pushing, moving, breathing, yielding and connecting. We will practice repetition and stamina, and work with both strength and softness. We will focus on consent and addressing boundaries throughout the workshop. Nothing is forced, I will simply create a space where I invite you to step into the arena, explore and challenge yourself, if you want to.
No prior experience of anything is needed. Every woman is welcome.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
I (Amalie) am a dedicated karate-practitioner, certified psychotherapist and an artist. I find great interest and pleasure in psychology, fighting, philosophy, art, dance, movement, writing, philosophy and coffee with cow's milk. Through martial arts I've discovered more freedom to express myself, especially in relation to aggression, vitality, joy and looking stupid as a beginner, again and again. I've also discovered a supportive, courageous and caring community and I've reconnected to an ongoing curiosity in how we as women can voice our truths more and access our self confidence more. I believe that our bodies need to be activated in order to create change in how we show up in the world. So here you go, let's go and let's play ladies!
