Umbanda je synkretická brazilská duchovní linie, která mísí africké tradice, katolicismus, spiritismus a šamanismus. Ústředním bodem umbandy je zpívání pontos, doprovázených rytmickou symfonií bubnů, spojujících se s africkou domovinou a orixás – božskými energiemi a silami přírody, které organizují chaos a obnovují harmonii skrze mediumistickou inkorporaci, tanec a pohyb.

Vinicius Fillipe de Souza
Syn oriši Oxóssi
Vinicius je hudebník a zasvěcený bubeník s hlubokým ukotvením v afro-brazilské tradici umbanda. Specializuje se na perkuse a rytmické nástroje, skrze které vytváří prostor pro duchovní práci, ceremonie a kolektivní prožitek.
Již více než 9 let je členem center Fraternidade Kayman a Casa de Cura Nossa Senhora da Conceição brazilském městě Belo Horizonte, kde působí jako ogã – zasvěcený hráč na atabaques. Jeho hra je citlivá, silná a přesná; podporuje spojení s liniemi orixás a duchovních průvodců a otevírá prostor pro hlubokou mediumistickou inkorporaci.
Své zkušenosti předává také jako učitel hry na bubny a posvátných rytmů umbandy, jako jsou samba nagô, samba cabula, ijexá, maculelê, barravento a další. Výuku vede s velkou citlivostí a vnímavostí – individuálně i ve skupinových workshopech, prezenčně i online.
Vedle ceremoniální práce se věnuje také hudebním projektům a nahrávání spirituální hudby, šamanských písní a zpěvů z linie umbanda ve spolupráci s dalšími hudebníky.
Má silné napojení na medicínu rapé, se kterou pracuje s respektem a vědomím tradice. Zároveň se věnuje výrobě nástrojů, zejména precizně zpracovaných foukaček určených pro tuto praxi.

You are welcome to join us for this joyful journey into the African Brazilian magic of drums connecting us to our body and the forces of nature💦🔥🌬️🌳🌕🌞
You are welcome to bring your own drum, because the number of the drums available to borrow will be limited.
💜The class is suitable for those of you who love to drum, or are curious to try, no experience is necessary.

Umbanda is a syncretic Brazilian spiritual lineage that connects African traditions, Catholicism, spiritualism, and shamanism together. The centerpiece of Umbanda is the chanting of pontos, accompanied by a rhythmic symphony of drums, connecting with the African homeland and the orixás – divine energies and forces of nature that organize chaos and restore harmony through mediumistic incorporation, dance and movement.

More about Vinicius Fillipe de Souza
Son of the orixá Oxóssi:
Vinicius is a musician and initiated drummer with deep roots in the Afro-Brazilian Umbanda tradition. He specializes in percussion and rhythmic instruments, through which he creates a space for spiritual work, ceremonies, and collective experience.
For more than 9 years, he has been a member of the Fraternidade Kayman and Casa de Cura Nossa Senhora da Conceição centers in Brazilian city Belo Horizonte, where he serves as an ogã—an initiated atabaque drummer. His playing is sensitive, powerful, and precise; it supports connection with the lines of the orixás and spiritual guides, opening space for deep incorporation.
He also shares his knowledge as a teacher of drumming and sacred Umbanda rhythms such as samba nagô, samba cabula, ijexá, maculelê, barravento, and others. He teaches with great sensitivity and awareness—offering individual sessions, group workshops, and both in-person and online classes.
In addition to ceremonial work, he is involved in musical projects and the recording of spiritual music, shamanic songs, and chants from the Umbanda lineage in collaboration with other musicians.
He has a strong connection to the medicine of rapé, with which he works respectfully and with awareness of tradition. He also crafts instruments, particularly finely made aplicators/pipes used in this practice.
