For nearly a decade, GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Ryan Beatty has reinvented himself time and time again, traversing the spectrum of the pop world and beyond. He continues to push the envelope with his highly anticipated fourth album, Sweet Fortune, out June 26 via Atlantic Records, co-produced by Beatty and frequent collaborator Ethan Gruska. Sweet Fortune expands upon the sound of Ryan’s past releases, creating a genre-defying body of work that feels truly timeless. Beatty is introducing the new era with single “Secret Language,” a warm, sun-dappled track that captures the early, overwhelmed-yet-tentative moments of new love when you are afraid to say what you really mean. First gaining notoriety for delivering hooks for artists like Brockhampton and Tyler, The Creator, Beatty soon garnered acclaim for the confessional indie-tinged pop of his 2018 debut Boy In Jeans. In 2020, a more heartbroken yet adventurous sophomore outing called Dreaming Of David followed. At the same time as Beatty was increasingly revered for his pop acumen in his work with other artists, his own music became searching, quieter, more reflective. An initial trilogy of albums chronicling a journey of self-realization and artistic experimentation culminated in the pivotal Calico, on which Beatty found a new voice by returning to the formative influences of classic American songwriting. He also earned critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Variety, i-D, Billboard, FLAUNT, and more. Amidst tours with Noah Kahan and Maggie Rogers, Beatty secretly worked on what would become Beyonce’s blockbuster 2024 album Cowboy Carter, later winning an Album Of The Year Grammy for contributing four of its key tracks.
