A couple years ago, Ryan Balthrop and Tyler Wilson were double booked on a gig at The Sloop in Gulf Shores, so they played together that night and began touring as Slide Bayou. The two have been joined in the last year, by the great Kelley McKee on lap steel resonator "dobro", and vocals. The trio has since been driving around in an old church van, spreading their swampy bluegrass sound all over the place, including many stops along the Gulf Coast, and tours up to Colorado, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Lake Tahoe-California, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Illinois, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and the US Virgin Islands.
