RWB School Professional Division Auditions

Each year Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School visits multiple cities across Canada in search of talented dancers to join our full-time Professional Division programs: the Ballet Academic Anna McCowan-Johnson Aspirant and Teacher Training Programs. Virtual audition opportunities are also offered or a video audition may be submitted through the online Acceptd platform.

Ballet Academic & Anna McCowan-Johnson Aspirant Programs

Students identified as having potential for professional training are invited to attend Summer Session which acts as the second phase of the audition process.

Teacher Training Program

Students identified as potential candidates for the program are invited to register to attend our Open House & TTP Assessment Workshops in Winnipeg in February and will be contacted by the Teacher Training Program Director to discuss next steps.

WHO CAN TAKE A CLASS?

• Students entering academic grade 6 and up in September 2025 are eligible to audition.
• No previous training is required for students aged 12 and under.
• To ensure students are relaxed and able to work effectively all audition classes are closed to observation.
• There is no limit to the number of students who may audition in person; virtual auditions are limited to 25 students. Students are strongly encouraged to pre-register.

Auditions are $50.00 per student, with an additional optional masterclass for $50.00 per student.
