Once a year, RVA Racing trades watts for twinkle lights, questionable taste and a whole bunch of our closest friends.
We decorate our bikes. We decorate ourselves. Occasionally, we decorate each other. Then we take over the streets of Richmond for a slow-moving tour of some of the city’s finest - and tackiest - holiday displays.

THE RIDE
We’ve got roughly 10 miles of Richmond holiday ridiculousness lined up. Expect a casual, social pace with plenty of opportunities to take in the lights.
No drops. No podiums. No reason to check your Strava segment times.
RVA Racing riders and friends will be mixed throughout the group to help keep our rolling Christmas circus together.
BRING THE TACKY.
Your bike. Your body. Your bad taste.
Wear the Santa suit. Put antlers on your helmet. Tow an inflatable snowman. Find a use for those 900 battery-powered LEDs you bought at Costco.
The more lights, the better.
A FEW THINGS BEFORE YOU GLOW

💡 Front + rear lights required
👨👩👧 Kids welcome — adults must accompany them
🔧 Bring a functioning bike that can actually ride the route
🧤 Dress for December in Richmond
You are responsible for your own bike and gear. Please give that garage-dwelling rig a little love before showing up with 300 blinking friends waiting on you.

This year we’re inviting Richmond to help make the Tacky Light Ride even tackier.
Live along the route? Light up the house. Rally the neighbors. Drag the fire pit into the driveway. Make a sign. Crank the Christmas music. Give a few hundred blinking cyclists something to cheer about.
Own a business along the route? Decorate the storefront. Bring your crew outside. Make some noise. Turn your corner of Richmond into part of the party.
Want in on the shenanigans? We’ll need volunteers and friends to help keep a few hundred blinking humans rolling safely through Richmond.

DISCLAIMER:
Put a few hundred people on decorated bicycles at night and something weird is eventually going to happen. Someone will miss a turn. Someone will think the pace is too fast. Someone will discover that the bike they pulled out of the garage hasn't been ridden since the Obama administration.
We’ll do our best to keep the drama to a minimum.
We make absolutely no promises about the heckling.
