Now in it's 4th year, it is time for Heroes Assemble to evolve.
This event has been slowing removing the "comic con" aspects and putting more focus on the stage presentations such as the Geek Chic Fashion Show and our celebration of real life local superheroes (nurses, teachers etc). We've learned a lot these past few years, and now it's time to completely make the move to being a gala presentation. With that comes a new name: RVA Heroes!
We are taking 2024 off and will return in 2025 completely overhauled into the most fun (and geeky) gala event ever.
1. This will be THE coolest fashion show in the region. We have some AMAZING fashion designers lined up to bring you lines that are innovative and stylish like youd expect at a high end fashion show, as well as being fun and geeky. Those of you who saw the fashion show last year know that a zombie attacked the stage at the end...so you never know what can happen at our event.
2. The Heroes celebration! Our goal is to improve the production of the Heroes ceremony, with video packages and an improved stage show. We will be finding Heroes from all walks of life this time (in the past we have focused entirely on one career per year), so we will be spending the next year and a half searching for deserving Heroes who benefit our community. Helping us out will be some special guests who will be announced in early 2025 (but we already know who they are).
We are working on having food service as well, since the gala will take place during dinner time. We have some other surprises and entertainment lined up already as well, but I'll be announcing that stuff as we get closer.
