About this Event
A celebration of Craft, both film and beer. RVA Brewvies is a film series in Richmond, screening independent films at local breweries.
RVA Brewvies is a celebration of two beloved industries in Richmond: art and craft beer. The majority of ticket sales goes towards the filmmaking team, both for the short and feature filmmakers. On Tuesday, December 9th at 7pm, RVA Brewvies will return to Stone Brewing Richmond, for an exclusive screening of the Virginia documentary, The Lives Between the Lines.
The Lives Between the Lines is a feature documentary about the history of slavery at the University of Virginia and the push to install a Memorial to Enslaved Laborers to honor the 4,000+ people who were enslaved at UVA.
The winner of 'Best Virginia Film' at the Richmond International Film Festival, the screening will be accompanied by an in-person Q&A with the film's producer, Jessica Harris. This extraordinary documentary will be preceeded by the short film Waiting for April, accompanied by an in-person Q&A with Virginia filmmaker Timothy Parsons.
We are thrilled and excited to screen two wonderful films on January 6th. See You At The Brewvies!
