RVA Brewvies - Checkpoint Zoo

RVA Brewvies is a celebration of two beloved industries in Richmond: art and craft beer. The majority of ticket sales goes towards the filmmaking team, both for the short and feature filmmakers. On Tuesday, December 9th at 7pm, RVA Brewvies will return to Stone Brewing Richmond, for an exclusive screening of Checkpoint Zoo.

From Executive Producer Leonardo DiCaprio, Checkpoint Zoo documents a daring rescue led by a heroic team of zookeepers and volunteers, who risked their lives to save thousands of animals trapped in a zoo behind enemy lines in the Russian Invasion of Ukraine.

Checkpoint Zoo was an Official Selection at the Tribeca Film Festival, and is making its Richmond debut as a part of RVA Brewvies. This extraordinary documentary will be preceeded by Banana Triangle Six, a moving short film from Director Marc Crandall.
