Rutgers IJS and Gregory Burrus Present the Annual James Moody Scholars Jam

Exciting news! The Annual James Moody Scholars Jam is back, presented by Rutgers IJS, NJPAC, and Gregory Burrus Productions.

Once again as we celebrate the arrival of the TD Moody Jazz Festival which will run from November 3-19, 2023 and showcases both legendary and emerging artist, we take time to honor the festivals namesake rising stars.

This year we once again honor the talented scholarship winners of the James Moody Scholarship program which has run since 2015. Performing with us this year will be:

Birsa Chaterjee-Tenor Sax 🎷

Andrew Wagner-trumpet🎺

Jalin Shiver -Alto 🎷

Mcadon McCune -drums 🎻

James Bally-piano 🎹

Paul Culfari - bass

Andrew Kavlakian - drums

Join us for a special evening as scholarship winners from each year come together to jam on stage for the 3rd year in a row. Come experience the magic of jazz improvisation as we continue to honor the legacy of Saxophonist James Moody at Clements Place Jazz venue on Nov 6, 2024 at 7 PM.
