PEDRO GOMES <live>

AURAL DESIGN <djset>
(EN) Founded in 2018, Aural Design is the solo project of João Paulo Daniel, who also runs the Portuguese label Russian Library and the project Folclore Impressionista, with whom he shares an hauntological sensibility strongly anchored in the situationist psychogeographic practices, retro-futurism and library music.
Rui Miguel Abreu wrote in Rimas e Batidas “… Aural Design is about reimagining that point of confluence between what memory kept from the soundtracks of documentaries that a certain generation avidly saw on television being presented by people as fascinating as Carl Sagan, Arthur C. Clarke or Jacques-Yes Cousteau, and what the continuous scrutiny of the present on the electronic past has revealed to us through reprints stamped by labels such as Finders Keepers or Trunk…”
Aural Design has been released by Russian Library and the british label Woodford Halse.

YAJIYUSO <djset>
(EN) Palestinian-British dj/producer “Yajiyuso” (aka Omar), in the early 2000s started collecting and digging in London's, then, abundant record stores: (Eukatech, Swag records, Sounds of the Universe, Honest Jon's, Berwick st et al). The beginning of an obsessive and passionate relationship with vinyl. First gigs from 2003 onwards were in East London warehouse parties, as well as other smaller venues. Later, when living and working beyond Europe, Omar held residencies at Dubai's “Analog Room” from 2015/2017 and “Savage” in Hanoi between 2017/2018, as well as playing in HongKong and mini-festivals in and around Hanoi.
In 2017, Omar set up a vinyl only label “Indigenous Electronic” with plays by some of the most discerning and quality underground vinyl DJs in the scene. The focus of the label - - covering the full spectrum, but never veering from dance-floor, analogue sounds) - aims to showcase both known, underrated and undiscovered talent particularly from spaces where producers might have less exposure to the industry.
In late 2019, he moved back to Europe. Relocating to Lisbon, where his focus was the world of production and modular synthesis, with a return to gigging again post pandemic.
