You are invited to join Southcentral Foundation and ANTHC leadership, along with St. Innocent Russian Orthodox Cathedral clergy for the ANMC Russian Christmas celebration in the Anchorage Native Primary Care Center lobby Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 2 p.m.The event will feature a blessing, singing with the St. Innocent choir, and a brief history of starring. Attendees are invited to light refreshments after the event.
The Russian Orthodox Church celebrates its Christmas in accordance with the old Julian calendar, 13 days after Western Christmas on Jan. 7. ANMC celebrates the holiday with customer-owners in recognition of the long history between the Russian Orthodox Church and Alaska Native people.
