25-year-old Madrid-based multi-instrumentalist and producer rusowsky (Ruslan Mediavilla) is a prominent figure in Madrids genre-bending alternative music scene. His pseudonym rusowsky is a fusion of his nickname, Rus, and Wazowski, a main character from Monsters Inc. As a member of the Spanish music collective RUSIA IDK the Spanish version of Odd Future or YEAR001, including Ralphie Choo rusowsky is celebrated for his storytelling skills and expressing his inner world through reconfigured Spanish pop, electronica and trap. Born into a Belarusian family, rusowskys musical journey began under the influence of his mother, a music teacher and member of a Belarusian folklore group. At 4 years old, he began to learn classical piano from his mother at a music school, which led him to further his studies and hone his craft at a Spanish conservatory. rusowsky began releasing music in 2019 and has since collaborated with a myriad of esteemed artists, including C. Tangana, DELLAFUENTE, and Ralphie Choo, now boasting over 115M global streams across his catalog. From electrifying performances at renowned festivals such as AXE Ceremonia, Sonar, and Lollapalooza in South America to sold-out concerts across Mexico and Spain, rusowsky has established himself as a dynamic force in music.
