Northern Star Organ Trio are a groovy Hammond trio playing 60s soul, jazz, funk, boogaloo, bosa nova and blues.
The trio perform in bars and clubs, and at festivals and events across the north. Each member is a talented performer with an impressive musical résumé – past bands include the spectacularly popular The New Mastersounds, gypsy jazz group Appel4, and Leeds barnstormers Meanwood Valley Stompers.
The band have already amassed a keen fanbase and aroused the interest of venues and jazz festivals across the UK.
Northern Star Organ Trio are a reassuringly talented bunch of professionals. Expect ‘soul jazz’ full of energy, blues and groove, with classics by Booker T and the MG’s, Jimmy McGriff, Jack McDuff, Wes Montgomery and George Benson, to name just a few. Come along and be impressed.
