Fashion. Culture. Community.
Runway of Rezilience is back, and Year Three is our biggest yet.
What started as a vision has grown into a movement.
Produced by Seeing Red, Runway of Rezilience is an Indigenous-led multidisciplinary arts and cultural experience that brings Indigenous artists, designers, musicians, performers, makers and storytellers together with audiences to celebrate, experience and support Indigenous creative expression.
At its heart is a simple belief: Indigenous creativity deserves to be seen, heard, experienced and celebrated.
More Than a Runway
Fashion may take centre stage, but Indigenous creativity extends far beyond it.
Throughout the evening, guests will experience Indigenous artistic expression across multiple disciplines, from contemporary and traditional fashion to visual and canvas art, beadwork, textiles, prints, jewellery and wearable art, music, live performance, handcrafted works and other original creations.
The Runway provides a stage for Indigenous designers and models to present work that reflects creativity, identity, storytelling and cultural expression.
The Indigenous Marketplace expands that stage beyond fashion, providing artists, makers and creative entrepreneurs with a space to exhibit and share their work directly with new audiences.
Discover original art. Meet the people who created it. Hear the stories behind the work. Support Indigenous artists and creators.
Creating Space for Indigenous Artists
Runway of Rezilience is built to create meaningful opportunities for both emerging and established Indigenous creatives.
Artists and designers from across Turtle Island are invited to bring their work, perspectives and creative practices into a shared space, connecting with audiences, fellow artists, collaborators and new opportunities.
By bringing multiple art forms together under one roof, Runway of Rezilience creates opportunities for artistic exchange, collaboration, visibility and discovery, while introducing audiences to the extraordinary diversity of contemporary Indigenous creative practice.
It is a space where traditions can be honoured, new ideas can be explored, and the next generation of Indigenous artists, storytellers and visionaries can see themselves represented.
20+ Experiences. One Night.
This year, Runway of Rezilience brings together 20+ activations and experiences throughout Evergreen Brick Works.
Explore Indigenous art and creative works. Discover beadwork, textiles, prints, jewellery and handcrafted pieces. Meet Indigenous artists and makers. Experience cultural and artistic activations. Enjoy live performances and discover creators from communities across Turtle Island.
Food becomes another form of creative and cultural expression through an expansive Indigenous culinary experience featuring Indigenous chefs and vendors sharing flavours, ingredients and stories.
And when the lights hit the stage, Indigenous music and live performance carry the energy from the runway throughout the evening and into the after-party.
