In 2026, RunTOBeer is headed to the east coast! The Medavie Blue Nose Marathon weekend in Halifax (May 15-17, 2026) has a race distance for everyone and relay options over the Saturday and Sunday! The name "Blue Nose" is a nod to Nova Scotian sailors from centuries past. According to lore, their noses would turn blue from the cold, and they would use their blue-dyed winter jackets as a substitute for handkerchiefs.How do RunTOBeer road trips work?
- Every year, we choose a race destination outside of Toronto to travel to.
- Everyone is responsible for making their own way to the race destination and sorting out their own accommodation, although many people travel together and share Airbnbs/Hotels etc.
- In the RunTOBeer WhatsApp Community, we start a road trip chat for those attending to coordinate, chat, etc.
- On race day, some of us run, and the rest of us cheer and hand out beer. We will have an official cheer station location organized by the race.
- There will always be an after party planned at a local brewery.
- There will be some other group events planned throughout the weekend (i.e. a shake out run, etc)
