Music has always been in Degs’ blood, an accomplished pianist, guitarist and singer with militant flow and a golden voice, spanning eclectic tastes moulded by a musical family.
The portal to the world of drum & bass was opened for Degs after first hearing the sounds of Bad Company and London Elektricity at 15 years old. Six years down the line, he picked up the mic and got on the stage. He swiftly became one of jump up’s best kept secrets, earning himself resident spots at shows across Europe.
Years later, he’s honed his craft and become adept in many styles. With a strong R&B and hip hop influence, his songwriting and MCing soon took a soulful turn proving the adaptability and musical prowess of this accomplished songwriter. Degs draws upon an a broad set of lyrical forms, fusing fast sprays with harmonious singing inspired by the likes of Fats, Eksman and Dynamite. It’s no easy feat to master the dual-craft of rapping and singing, with few MC’s possessing the skills shown by the latest artist to join the Hospital family.
His debut single Poveglia (feat De:Tune) was an overwhelming success which garnered support in clubs across the globe and became one of the D+B anthems of summer 2018. With over 10 million streams on his debut single, he moved from strength to strength, following ‘Poveglia’ up with a sterling ‘Mixtape Sprayout’, featuring unique verses sitting atop iconic Hospital classics, including the ‘Black Sheep’ freestyle which brought him to the attention of London Elektricity.

Bursting onto the radar in 2017 with Ay! on the Hospitality In The Park compilation, he wasted no time in leveling up with Bootstrap Bill, a track that tore through dancefloors worldwide. Heavyweights like Andy C, Danny Byrd, and Randall championed his sound, while BBC Radio 1’s René LaVice, Metrik, and Noisia amplified his presence on the airwaves.
Unglued cemented his status in 2018 with the most coveted dubplate of the year—his bootleg of High Contrast’s If We Ever sent shockwaves through the scene, propelling him into the upper echelons of drum & bass.
The momentum only grew in 2019 when Annie Mac named Born In 94 (feat. MC Conrad) the hottest record in the world, leading to a prime-time BBC Radio 1 mini-mix, A Brief History of Breakbeat. His genre-blending prowess culminated in his debut album, Interplanetary Radio, a fusion of jungle, jazz, funk, soul, and hardcore that dominated playlists and radio stations alike. A-list DJs such as High Contrast, Doc Scott, Flava D, and Sigma backed the project, while tastemakers like Gilles Peterson, René LaVice, and Shadow Child pushed it to wider audiences.
Unglued carried his signature sound into 2022 with the Interplanetary Remixes EP, enlisting Fixate for a jungle-fueled rework of Total XTC and Halogenix for a soulful liquid spin on Way Back When (feat. Esther Durin). He also dropped a VIP of his breakbeat anthem H to the A to the R to the D to the C to the O to the R to the E, proving his ability to reinvent and refine his high-energy sound.
Continuing to push boundaries, his bass-heavy weapon Secret Foghorn landed on Bou’s Gossip imprint, sending shockwaves through the rave scene. Fresh off a record-speed sell-out New Zealand tour with labelmate Degs, Unglued is solidifying his place as one of drum & bass’s most exciting artists.
