A 3 hour workshop focusing on how you move as a runner; feel lighter, more relaxed and focused.
Run and walk lighter, feel balanced and get rid of those running niggles! After the obvious enforced leave I am back for the Edinburgh workshops. I have been studying, training and practising over the past 2 years, so this workshop will feel very different but with the same overall thread of understanding your movement as you run. Little tips that can improve your running, efficiency and reduce the risk of injury. Depending on the weather we will finish with some drills and 'yoga type' moves for runners.
We meet at 10.30am outside the Casa Amiga, Leith.

I have been coaching Running and Physical education for most of my life. I have a yoga and sports coaching background and you get a lot more observational detail in these 3 hours. Clients have ranged from elite runners to 80 year olds' with Osteoarthritis, hip replacements, knee replacements, broken runners, last chance gasp runners, triathletes, cross fit, martial arts, ex footballers and sports people. This is not about purely running but about finding out how to move more efficiently and tune into you! The major focus is balance, lightness and rhythm to create a more relaxed and efficient you.
You will experience some easy static and running drills to help you move more relaxed, fluent and feel a lot lighter in your stride.
This session would be ideal for folks new to running coaching or those who attended a workshop a while back and needed a refresher. The lessons and sequences change quite regularly as I review the content over the years. a handout will be sent after the session summarising the key points.
