Rung Film Festival aims to empower minority communities by supporting marginalized filmmakers of Pakistani-American Heritage and offer a platform for thoughtful dialogue.
The Urdu word “rung” means “color.” Color is our visual interpretation of how light reflects off surfaces, and “color” is that portion of the visible spectrum of light reflected back from a surface. Similarly, films have the power to reflect the light from the characters of color that have never been exposed and deliver their own interpretation.
Get ready for a stellar lineup of indie films by award winning filmmakers! Enjoy a red carpet awards receptions and grand feature on Saturday and Sunday night from 6:30 - 10:00 PM.
