Runes Intensive Overview: The Elder FutharkThis Runes Intensive is a 4-Class Series on the Ancient Magical Alphabet. This 4-part intensive explores the runes in depth, moving through the three Aetts as distinct units of magical power, and then bringing the whole system together.
Class 1 of 4: - The First Aett: Freyr’s Aett
Fehu | Uruz | Thurisaz | Ansuz | Raidho | Kenaz | Gebo | Wunjo
In this Aett, we will explore wealth, strength, defense, divine inspiration, journey, knowledge, and joy. Then we will examine the cohesive theme of this Aett while diving into the meaning and energy of each rune. This understanding will enable us to trace patterns of association within the Futhark and explore how the runes interact with each other to reveal hidden powers and meanings.

The Elder Futhark runes are the ancient Norse alphabet and magical system that can be used for divination, magical work, and pathworking. This 24-character alphabet is divided into three sets of eight letters, or Aetts, each of which has its own powerful mystery that is best approached as a cohesive unit.
The first three classes in this series will examine the successive mysteries of each 8-Rune Aett. Each Rune will be explored, as well as the energy of its Aett. These classes are a progression that builds upon the lessons of the one before it.
The fourth and final class will examine the Runes as a whole and explore ways the Runes/Aetts interact with each other. In this unit, we will learn how to best apply their occult meanings and powers for spellwork, divination, and spiritual pathwork.

Class Two - The Second Aett: Hagal’s Aett (Oct 19, 2025)

In this Aett, we will explore Hagal’s Aett of the human condition: powerful change, resilience, patience, the harvest of reward, cyclical transformation, fortune, and spiritual connection.
Class Three - The Third Aett: Tyr’s Aett (Nov 23, 2025)
Tiwaz | Berkano | Ehwaz | Mannaz | Laguz | Ingwaz | Dagaz | Othala
In this Aett, we will explore Tyr’s Aett, which delves into the themes of leadership, fertility, sacred partnership, identity & social order, higher intuition, internal growth, enlightenment, and homestead/community.
Class Four - Elder Futhark Integration (Dec 14, 2025)
In this final class, we will be working with the Elder Futhark as a whole for divination, magic, and spiritual practice.
