About this Event
This event is expertly facilitated by Wendy Stone, CEO, The Global Academy.
'Run the World: The SDG Game' is a multi-player simulation game where your choices create a model of our world from the present day into the future.
It is a fun and family friendly game that challenges you to make real world choices that effect the future of our planet.
Experience the interdependence in the complex systems we inhabit, travel through time to make the changes you want to see, and then watch our new world emerge.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are ambitious and can seem overwhelming, simply due to their volume and scope. While dramatic in their potential impact on the world, approaching them can be daunting.
A game approach has three powerful advantages:
- It gives people a direct experience of participating in co-creating a sustainable world (“I can do it” / “What I do makes a difference.”)
- It simplifies and makes accessible an extremely complex issue to a level that allows people to begin to understand, while stimulating our natural curiosity to learn more.
- It activates players’ natural instincts to set their aim toward a worthy goal, simultaneously building confidence and making it enjoyable, while inspiring and motivating players to take action in the real world.
Please register to attend as soon as possible to participate in this powerful simulation, as spaces are limited at our Thames LIDO venue and pre-booking is essential!
