Run the Railyard 2023 5K in Downtown Rogers, Arkansas

Run the Railyard 5K provides a beautiful walk/run on the paved Lake Atalanta Trails & around the Lake. This event is dog/child/stroller friendly so bring the whole family.

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Downtown Rogers, this 3.5 mile run/walk will start and end at the Railyard Bike Park in downtown Rogers. The route takes racers down to Lake Atalanta, loops the lake and finishes back at the bike park.

Proceeds from this family-friendly event will support the Downtown Rogers Rotary Club in beautification efforts in the downtown parks. The club conducts monthly litter pick-up events on the Lake Atalanta Loop trail, and plans to fund additional landscaping, park benches and amenities to enhance the parks.

The Prizes:

Specially-designed medals will be awarded to the first 100 finishers.

The Route:

The Run the Railyard Run/Walk begins at the Railyard Bike Park in Downtown Rogers at 7 a.m. The course follows the Frisco Springs Connector trail (concrete) down the hill to Lake Atalanta Park. Following the paved trail under the road and around Lake Atalanta for one counter-clockwise loop. From the tunnel, runners & walkers will encounter several moderate hills and valleys before crossing the top of the dam. Returning along the shoreline of the lake, the route leads back up to the finish line at the Railyard Bike Park.

Run the Railyard will be held primarily on concrete-paved trails, with a short (approximately 200 yards) portion on gravel. This event is appropriate for strollers and leashed dogs.

Entry for the race is $25 for all ages. Registration is available in advance or the day of the event.
