Oak Island is a beautiful little sliver of paradise that somehow manages to fit a FULL MARATHON on it. Yes—an entire marathon… on one island. We like to call it the world’s shortest ultra on the world’s largest medals. 😆
We actually host two half marathons so you can tour both ends of the island:
• East Half – competitive, fast, and full send
• West Half – walker-friendly, good vibes, zero judgment
There’s also a flat & fast 10K and the legendary 5K—both completely on the island with basically no elevation gain, minimal turns, and maximum coastal flex.
Highlights include:
🏖️ 13+ miles of ocean views (yes, you’re running the road, not the sand… we’re not monsters)
🗼 The iconic Oak Island Lighthouse
