Run Lauriston Run

Ready to take the 2k challenge? It doesn't matter how fast you go, you just need to go!

We are calling all children from nursery to year 6 and their parents to join us on Sunday 22nd January from 2-4pm for a community fundraising fun run.

It will be an afternoon of fun and fitness for all with races, warm-up exercises, games and music. Plus everyone taking part will receive a Run Kids Run finisher's medal and a healthy snack.

This is an opportunity for everyone to come together to raise money for our school. Simply ask friends and family to sponsor you for your 2k efforts and make their donation to the Lauriston School Playground Project.

All runners should register (including parents). Note: Nursery and reception parents, you are required to run with your children but the good news is their run is only 1k! Older children can run their 2k alone but parents are welcome to join them. You can also bring your friends and family and encourage them to run with you.

The races will be staggered. Provisional timings are likely to be as follows (depending on numbers):

1:30pm - Set-up for PTA, registration tables for schools

2:00pm – Registration opens to all participants

2:15pm – Welcome address/ health and safety briefing

2:25pm – Collective warm-up

2:30pm – First race nursery/reception starts

2:45pm – Second race years 1/2

3:00 - pm – Third race years 3/4

3:15pm – Fourth race years 5/6

3:30pm – Races finished / Clear-up
