A number of people have asked about ‘Run for Gem’ this year.‘Run for Gem’ has been held in December since 2018, the first event taking place a few weeks before Gemma’s death. In this time, the event has raised over £11k split between St Helena Hospice & Brain Tumour Research.
Having discussed the future of the event with Gemma’s parents & Marcus from St Helena Hospice, going forward Run for Gem will be a little different.
The plan is to incorporate ‘Run for Gem’ into the St Helena Hospice "Hero Run"
St Helena will provide a dedicated ‘Run for Gem’ team fundraising page for everyone wishing to run in Gemma’s memory - simply donate an additional sum when you sign up.
There will still be a ‘Run for Gem’ cake stand alongside an area where all people running in Gemma's memory can congregate.
