RUN 4 Recovery ( 5K)

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are excited to announce our partnership with Wells Fest this year. We are hosting a 5K Run/Walk and Recovery Celebration

We celebrate Recovery Month in September and we couldn’t think of a better way than

partnering with Wells-Fest on Saturday September 28, 2024. Recovery Month started as a way to educate those who have a loved one struggling or are struggling themselves to access care for substance abuse and mental health issues. We all have been affected by the disease of addiction that is cunning, baffling and powerful. Yet, in the midst of the sadness and the constant barrage of bad news, there is hope. In recent years, we’ve seen the opioid epidemic rise to become a national crisis. We’ve grieved alongside friends and neighbors over the tragic loss of loved ones due to addiction, long-term alcohol use and overdose. Education and Wellness are the key to breaking the stigma of addiction and recovery and show that We Do Recover!

In the hope of lasting change that recovery from addiction has delivered to so many, we will be sharing our experience, strength and hope. Community Partners will be on hand to answer any questions that you have to get assistance. Help us Celebrate Recovery in our community and honor those we’ve lost and their families. Join hands with us to share the hope of recovery with everyone and show that there is life after addiction.

Event Location: Smith Wills Stadium parking lot next to Jamie Fowler Boyll Park on Lakeland Drive

For over 40+ years Wells-Fest has been considered Jackson’s Original Music and Children's Festival. WellsFest is a family friendly event with free admission and parking and nonstop music from great bands from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sept. 28 — the last Saturday in September.
