Rum Time! with Wayne Curtis

Join us for a tour through the history of rum in 8 sips, with spirits author Wayne Curtis. Wayne is a contributing editor at The Atlantic, and in 2017 was recognized as the Best Spirits and Cocktail Writer at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.

The seminar will feature an overview of the history of rum, from its creation by the enslaved peoples of the Caribbean to the wide variety of styles it now encompasses. Guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail and eight sample rum selections, each exemplifying a particular era in the development of the category. 21+

Wayne will also be bringing copies of his excellent book "And a Bottle of Rum: A History of the New World in Ten Cocktails" for signing, and sticking around for a special Saturday happy hour from 4-6pm, showcasing three cocktails from the book.
