Two nations are about to face each other on the world's biggest stage. The night before they take the field, 36 people will sit down together in Midtown Kansas City — and taste exactly what makes each of them different.

Rum & Rhythm is a one-of-a-kind cultural tasting experience built around the 2026 World Cup. Each evening honors two competing nations through premium rum and chef-curated cuisine — one pour, one bite, one story per country — tasted side by side, in sequence, with a guide who knows every bottle and every culture behind it.

This is rivalry at the table. Two rums. Two nations. One story told through what they grow, ferment, age, and cook.

First Tasting Pan-Seared Sea Scallop Saffron Beurre Blanc, Charred Leek Ash, Herb Oil, Micro Greens Paired with a premium aged rum from Nation One

Second Tasting Braised Short Rib Spiced Tamarind Reduction, Crispy Plantain, Pickled Fresno, Cilantro Oil Paired with a single cask expression from Nation Two

The Finish Poached Pear Tart Ginger Cream, Rum Reduction, Crushed Praline Paired with a rare aged reserve — the finest pour of the evening

The Experience

Chef Cherven brings Haitian culinary roots and decades of fine dining mastery to every plate. Black Garlic holds Missouri's largest premium rum collection. The room holds 36 guests. The evening lasts as long as it needs to.

Comparable tasting experiences in Kansas City run $350–$500. This is $200 per guest.
