We're fortunate to welcome Miriam Coffey, a Janome Educator, to The Common Thread. Miriam's journey in the fabric world has been diverse, ranging from fashion design to managing a modern quilt store, co-owning a long arm quilting business, and representing textiles. Her most thrilling role is undoubtedly as a Janome Educator. Miriam's expertise has been showcased in various publications and on the esteemed show Fresh Quilting. Notably, her work has graced the pages of the Modern Quilt Guild's "Modern Quilts, Best of the New Century" book. Among her many local and international accolades, including awards from QuiltCon and the Asheville Quilt Show, she treasures her 1st place blue ribbon from AQS Paducah the most.
Miriam will be available on Friday, April 26th from 9am to 12pm or 1pm to 4pm. The class fee is $25. Participants will gain valuable insights into utilizing rulers with the new Accurate Stitch Regulator on the Janome Memory Craft 9480, Continental M8, and the Continental M17. This class is specifically designed for individuals who do not currently own any of these machines but are considering purchasing one.
