The historic art of traditional hand hooked rugs has been admired since colonial times. Like many forms of art, hooked rugs were made out of necessity, utilizing scraps and upcycling. By pulling up one loop at a time you can create a beautiful 8” by 8” heirloom textile. This class is for beginners. The cost of the kit is $80.00 which contains a pattern drawn on linen, a rug hooking frame, a hook, binding to finish off the back and hand dyed cut wool. In class you will learn everything you need to complete the pattern at home if you do not finish the project in class.
Please bring embroidery scissors if you have them.
