Rueda Belfast brings back our 2 hour Monthly Sunday RUEDA Workshop & Practice. 1pm to 3pm on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month.Aimed At : Any and All Salsa/Cuban Salsa (also WCS or people with dance experience of a movement dance (Sadly No Complete Beginners to Dance as you need some basics like timing, hand hold awareness and floor awareness) also anyone regardless of how Rueda rusty you may feel or how out of touch you are to dance in recent months or years come and brush off the cobwebs.
Hour 1 - Basics and Improvers to Intermediate
Lots of dancing , revising and introducing the basics and doing the moves designed for lower levels to be quick and easy and flow.
Hour 2 - Depending on numbers and levels, hour 2 will push the speed and levels of dancing towards Intermediate and Intermediate + or we will stick to hour 1 levels and push to get everyone dancing and feeling like that's their weekly exercise done. You can sit down when you feel like its too much at any point or just when your tired!!!
There is no Advanced currently and for 2 main reasons. You rarely see Adv moves being performed in any but Congress Level or Intense Class level events and they are also physically demanding for those not used to complicated and often strenuous body movement. They often can cause discomfort and detract from fun and flow of normal Rueda. Many Adv level moves are also often a combination of lower level moves done in specific orders and dancers need to be completely comfortable with them first.
Doesn't mean we don't go quick though sometimes so dress to be comfortable and allow your movements to be unrestricted!
Event Organizers reserve the right to refuse entry.
