About this Event

Welcome to the RUBBERTOWN AIR TOXICS & HEALTH ACTION (RATHA) PROJECT COMMUNITY MEETING! This is the first of our quarterly meetings being held over the three-year RATHA grant period. Join us for an evening of information with opportunities to ask questions concerning this three-year research project funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The first quarterly community meeting will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Shawnee Golf Course Clubhouse. Let's work together to address air toxins and their impact on our health in a casual and informative setting. This is a great opportunity to connect with experts and neighbors in the community and make a difference in our futures. The research partners include the West Jefferson County Community Task Force in collaboration with the Air Pollution Control District, the Christie Lee Brown Envirome Institute of UofL, the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness, and the Park DuValle Community Health Center. The community meeting is free and refreshments will be served from 5:30 until 6 pm. Community participation is critical to the success of this three-year research project. We hope to see you there on September 28th and at future RATHA Quarterly Community Meetings!
