New Wave Video and SOMA are pleased to present a special screening of the Australian 4K premiere of Rubbers Lover (1996), a Japanese cyberpunk masterpiece from the mind of Shozin Fukui. Experience the nightmare like never before, for the first time in 4K! Prepare yourself for a sensory onslaught, of industrial landscapes, rubber clad human test subjects, and psychic experimentation. To accompany this presentation will be live music and an improvised noise performance, to complement the industrial nightmare on the big screen. Musical performances from Alloxylon and the SOMA noise ensemble, featuring members of Pubis Mons, Whitehorse, Serene Ailment, Choof and Atropy .E, and live performance from Darmanatrix!
