RSA x CivicLAB – Partnership working in the civic space

On Wednesday 12 February 4pm–6pm, we will be welcoming an exciting lineup of speakers to our Doctoral College at the Kedleston Road campus to share their insights into the Civic space from the purview of the political, community, civic skills, and social justice engagement.

The full lineup of speakers will include:

Community: Jiten Anand, Inspirate Co-Founder and Executive Director, De Montfort University Pro Chancellor, New Art Exchange Board of Director

Civic Skills: Rachel Smith, Creative Director Make/Shift Creative People and Places ACE Project

Political/Policy: Professor Alessio D'Angelo, University of Derby

The evening will focus on civic action whilst recognising how regional and local partnerships can foster and lead to national and international impact and bring change where change is needed.

Following the talks, the event will provide an essential space for networking, allowing for the cross-pollination of ideas between a range of different fields and disciplines.

To participate in the event, you will need to register for a ticket so we can make sure we have an up-to-date list of those who plan on attending. If you wish to register another attendee, this must be done separately using a different email address. This is for capacity purposes. We encourage all attendees that are ill or showing symptoms of illness to stay home and to cancel your Eventbrite ticket if you are no longer able to join the event.
