We are introducing our inaugural Club Parkrun Championship.
This will consist of 3 parkruns between now and the club awards night later in the year.
This competition consists of three designated parkrun events at St Helens, Knowsley, and Greenfield Valley.
1. Runners must complete all events to be eligible for full scoring. The system rewards consistency, improvement, and age‑adjusted performance.
2. Eligibility
Open to all club members. Runners must be officially recorded in parkrun results. Age and gender must match parkrun profile details for correct age‑grading.
3. Scoring System
A) Age‑Graded Percentage: Each parkrun time will be converted to an age‑graded score using official WMA tables. All three scores are added together.
B) Personal Best Bonus: +10 points for recording a PB for the year at any qualifying event. You could PB at each event scoring a maximum of 30 points.
C) Attendance Points: +5 points for completing all three events.
4. Final Score Calculation
Final Score = Total Age‑Grade % + PB Bonus + Attendance Points
5. Awards
Overall Champion, will receive the Club Championship trophy for the year
6. Tie‑Breakers
1) Highest single‑event age‑grade. 2) Fastest single parkrun time. 3) Joint winners if still tied.
7. Data Handling
All results are taken from official Parkrun App, add yourself as a member of Runcorn Running Club
