R.R. Walston 5K Walk/Run

The Omicron Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., in partnership with the 501c3 Progressive Initiatives, will host the 2024 R.R. Walston 5K Walk/Run for Sickle Cell Awareness on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Bachman Lake Park (3500 W. Northwest Hwy.) in Dallas. The chapter will raise funds in the name of sickle cell disease (SCD) and also pay homage to Reginald R. Walston, a respected businessman in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, a dedicated member of Phi Beta Sigma, a distinguished graduate of North Carolina A&T State University and, most importantly, a voice for those battling SCD on a daily basis. Walston passed away in 2015.
