RP1: Lino Printmaking - 5 week course starts 7 July

A supportive environment for beginners and for those wishing to expand their existing practice. Over 5 weeks, you will explore three core processes, the basics of lino cutting and printing using hand tools and a mini press, moving on to the development of a key block to create multicolour prints and lastly understanding registration techniques, learning how to develop a registration board and how a variety of registration techniques can be used to produce a series of prints.
This is an opportunity to develop your lino cutting skills and explore the use of colour in your prints experimenting with overlaying prints to build colour and depth as you develop your own designs and imagery. The emphasis is on exploration, testing ideas, and building confidence with tools, materials, and methods.
