Celebrate the start of summer with East London's favourite annual family fun day - the Royal Wharf Summer Fete!
About this Event

The annual family fun day returns, with a jam-packed line-up of live music performances, family entertainment, fitness classes, kids’ workshops, tasty street food stalls and a waterfront craft market!

Date: Saturday 27th June 2026

Times: 11AM to 5PM

Situated close to West Silvertown and Pontoon Dock station on the DLR, a 15-minute walk from the Elizabeth Line at Custom House, or Uber Boat by Thames Clipper via the Royal Wharf Pier, the all-day fete is the perfect fun day out for all the family.



Hum Yoga Class on Royal Wharf Pier


Join Hum Yoga for a relaxing, al fresco meditation session to energise you for the day ahead. Open to everyone, this inclusive session will be suitable for all abilities, and led by an expert instructor.

P lease bring your own yoga mat and wear clothing/footwear suitable for an outdoor class.

Time: 9:15AM-10:00AM

Location: Royal Wharf Pier

Cost: £10 (booking required), excluding Eventbrite booking fee. Your £10 ticket is redeemable on food and drink from select traders at the Royal Wharf Summer Fete, in Royal Wharf Park. Upon attendance to the class, you will receive your voucher to redeem after the class.

One Element Fitness Session in Thames Barrier Park


Join the Royal Docks' most exciting training community, One Element Docklands, for a group HIIT session.

Open to everyone, both regulars and new visitors, this outdoor training session will kickstart the festivities of the fete and energise you for the day. The class is an inclusive session with activities for all levels, and the empowering atmosphere of a friendly group exercise session.

Please bring water and wear clothing/footwear appropriate for an outdoor fitness class.

Time: 9:30AM-10:15AM

Location: Thames Barrier Park, North Woolwich Rd, London E16 2HP

Cost: £5 (booking required), excluding Eventbrite booking fee. Your £5 ticket is redeemable on food and drink from select traders at the Royal Wharf Summer Fete, in Royal Wharf Park. Upon attendance to the class, you will receive your voucher to redeem after the class


Open Play Sensory Classes with Macaroni Penguin

A selection of free-to-join sessions for young children and families, hosted by Macaroni Penguin in Royal Wharf Gardens. Activities include:


DIY Bubble Wand Station (Suitable all ages)
Participants can create their own bubble wands using pipe cleaners in different shapes. A bucket of bubble solution will be provided for free play. This is a free-flow, open-ended activity where children and families can move around and enjoy bubble blowing. It encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and sensory enjoyment.
Floating Boat Sensory Play (Suitable 3+ Years)
A water tray will be set up with small handmade floating boats (made from sponge sticks with flags). Children can use straws to blow and move the boats across the water. The water may include blue colouring and glitter for visual sensory stimulation. This activity encourages breath control, coordination, and imaginative play.

Sandcastle Sensory Play (Suitable 3+ Years)
A play sand station will be set up for children to explore and build freely. Various sand moulds, buckets, and tools will be provided for creating sandcastles and shapes. This activity supports tactile exploration, creativity, and imaginative play, offering a beach-like sensory experience.
Notice to Parents:
- Activities involve water, sand, and small materials.
- Children should be supervised by parents or guardians at all times.
- Straws should be used appropriately under supervision.
- Sand play may be messy; please ensure children avoid putting sand in their mouths or eyes


Parent & Child Yoga with Macaroni Penguin

A fun and interactive Parent & Child Yoga session designed to strengthen the bond between parent and child through breathing exercises, partner poses, games, mindfulness, and Crafts. The class is suitable for children and their accompanying parent/carer, promoting physical wellbeing, emotional connection, and quality time together. From 4 to 9 years old.

Times: 2:00PM & 3:00PM
Location: Royal Wharf Gardens

Capacity: 10 parent-child pairs per session
