This year marks the 50th anniversary of the completion of the
awe-inspiring Overlord Embroidery stitched by the prestigious Royal School of Needlework (RSN) from 1968 to 1974.
To celebrate, the RSN will be teaching a Dove of Peace class at the museum.
On the day, RSN Tutor, Sarah de Rousset-Hall will teach you all of the techniques you need to know to complete the kit including: Appliqué, Bayeux Stitch, Couching (thread and Japanese passing), Fishbone Stitch and Stem Stitch.
This class is suitable for all levels and your kit will include everything you require to complete the project after the class. You may like to bring your own magnifiers but you will be able to borrow ring frames and scissors on the day.
The class is £150, you can book through the Royal School of Needlework website
