The Rowner Carnival Parade 2026 is a vibrant, family-friendly community celebration bringing the streets of Rowner to life with colour, music, entertainment, and imagination. Organised by the Rowner Renewal Community Events Association (RRCEA), this completely non-profit, volunteer-run event is designed to unite the community and create lasting memories for families across Rowner and Gosport.
The 2026 parade theme will combine the magic and excitement of The Greatest Showman and the wonder of the Circle of Life, transforming the parade route into a spectacular circus-inspired celebration filled with performers, music, costumes, carnival energy, and animal-themed displays. Participants are encouraged to embrace the theme through vibrant costumes, creative floats, circus acts, safari-inspired decorations, jungle animals, acrobatic entertainment, and colourful performances that celebrate imagination, diversity, and community spirit.
Taking place on Sunday 26th July 2026, parade participants will gather from 9:00am, with a full safety briefing at 9:25am before the procession departs at approximately 9:45am. The parade will travel through the heart of Rowner, creating an exciting atmosphere for residents and visitors lining the streets.
The event will feature decorated floats, walking groups, dancers, community organisations, live performers, mascots, music inspired by the magic of the circus and the beauty of the animal kingdom. From ringmasters and stilt walkers to jungle creatures and carnival performers, the parade aims to deliver a truly unforgettable community experience.
Trained parade route marshals and volunteers will be positioned throughout the route to support public safety and assist with the smooth running of the event. As a constituted voluntary organisation, RRCEA reinvests all funds raised directly back into community events and activities, ensuring the carnival continues to grow and benefit local residents year after year.
