About this Event
Multisession Duration: 5 hrs completed over 2 days. By purchasing a ticket, you are committing to attend all meetings included in the multisession. Scroll down to reference the Agenda page to indicate which ticket to purchase for that session!
Class Description
This class is intended for those with limited experience on a router table and want to learn the basics, walk away with the knoweldge on how to make a cutting board. This class covers all basic operations of how to navigate the router table, such as: fence opertaions, bearing bit operations, tongue and groove joints. Students will learn how to shape a cutting board with a provided template and become tool tested on the router table!
The materials fee for this class is $20. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts Venmo.

Instructor - SALVATORE MANCINI
Salvatore Mancini is a custom fabricator producing custom furniture and interior designs. He works primarily in wood using traditional techniques as well as digital fabrication. He got his start creating sets for theater productions and was inspired to pursue woodworking after restoring a wooden view camera.
Target Audience
Router Table beginners and folks interested in Artisans Asylum's Wood Shop. Students must be at least 18 years old.
Your Ticket Includes
- Using the Router Table.
- Maple and Walnut wood.
- Walking away with a cutting board.
- Access to A2's Wood Shop and tools for the duration of the session.
Class Policies
Attire: Attendants should wear close-toed slip-resistant shoes (steel-toe work boots are ideal), long pants, and no loose-fitting clothing that could possibly get caught in machinery. Make sure to wear only natural fibers (i.e., cotton, wool, linen, etc) and bring reading glasses if needed for detailed work.
