In July, each Mast General Store’s staff chooses a local nonprofit partner that makes its community a better place to live.
Staff members chose organizations that are important to them and that contribute to their home communities as a whole by providing a vital service, protecting natural resources and wildlife, open doors for learning, and embrace culture.
The Appalachian Wildlife Refuge will benefit from roundUPs in Asheville. Established in 2014 by a dedicated team of home-based re-hab volunteers, Appalachian Wildlife now helps approximately 2,000 injured and orphaned birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians each year. The Refuge also provides native wildlife programs that educate and engage the public.
