This engaging panel blending conversation and video, features the museum Curator, Architect, Exhibit Designer and Media Producer who trace the multi-year, collaborative museum transformation from static and diminishingly relevant to a vibrant, dynamic engaging experience that attracts visitors from all walks of the sport. Join the Sports Community of Practice for this in-person workshop!
The morning session will include presentations from the Basketball Hall of Fame, CambridgeSeven, and Northern Lights Productions on the four-year partnership between the Hall of Fame and the design team to execute a phased, occupied reinvention that reimagines what a sports museum looks like in the modern world.
The afternoon session will ask participants to consider the best practices while crafting a sample sports-related project. Interpreting Sports encourages museums to generate an empathy-centered, inclusive, and balanced discourse that evokes authentic connection with visitors. We encourage you to lend your hearts and minds to this conversation as we explore this emerging frontier together.
