Rossini - Petite Messe Solennelle

Ipswich Choral Society presents Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle at Ipswich Minster this November.
Despite its name, this is anything but a “little” piece. Rossini’s late masterpiece moves from intimate and beautifully lyrical passages to music full of drama, energy and unmistakable Italian flair.
The choir is joined by soprano Catherine May, mezzo-soprano Lucy Gibbs, tenor Ben Vonberg-Clark and bass Finlay Bloore, with Gretel Dowdeswell on piano and Adam Chillingworth on harmonium. Christopher Borrett conducts.

Tickets are £15 + booking fee, with under 18s free.
