ABOUT CLARISSA TOSSIN
Clarissa Tossin’s multidisciplinary practice is rooted in ecological thinking and in geographies shaped by colonization and extraction. Recent survey exhibitions include “Point of No Return” at the Museu de Arte de São Paulo–MASP (2025) and “to take root among the stars” at the Frye Art Museum, Seattle (2023). Her work has been presented at the 2024 Whitney Biennial; Prospect.6 Triennial, New Orleans; the 14th Shanghai Biennial; the 5th Chicago Architecture Biennial; 12th Gwangju Biennale; Made in L.A. 2014; Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver; LACMA; La Kunsthalle Mulhouse, France, and many others. She's the recipient of fellowships from the American Academy in Rome (2025), the Smithsonian Institution (2023), the Harvard Radcliffe Institute (2017–18), the Graham Foundation (2020), the Foundation for Contemporary Arts (2019), and Artadia Los Angeles (2018).

The USC Roski School’s Roski Talks lecture series offers engaging weekly presentations from leading visual artists, design innovators, scholars, performance artists, architects, and other influential figures throughout the academic year. These events are a popular among the Roski community and frequently attract members of the public.
Held in an intimate setting, Roski Talks encourage audience participation and open dialogue. Each session concludes with lively group discussions and Q&A opportunities.
