Rosie is a joyful, vibrant flamingo until a scary experience turns her world upside down. Her feathers lose their bright color, her heart feels heavy, and her secret keeps her from being her true self. Rosie gains the courage to tell her secret to regain her bright color.
Rosie’s Big Secret is a touching story about the weight of secrets, the courage to speak up, and the healing that comes from trusting those who care. This book explores the impact of holding onto difficult emotions and helping children understand they are never alone.
Bridget Meranda, MSW, LCSW, RPT, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Registered Play Therapist who provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Bridget completed her undergraduate degree at Minot State University in North Dakota and Master’s degree at the University of North Dakota in 2015.
Bridget has specialized training to provide Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and working with children & families who have experienced traumatic events. Within her play therapy practice, she provides a variety of play modalities. She works with a variety of challenging areas including PTSD, Complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, self-harming behavior, anger management, ADHD, and other behavioral management needs.
